A book is more than words on paper. It’s more than an escape for the reader and a service produced by the author. It’s less than a cornerstone of civilization as the author may feel. Obviously it’s somewhere in between, but if you take away its physical form, it’s hard to define it.
Summer’s here, and is there any other season more perfect for reading? Well, except for the other three, of course. Here are some books you can take with you on vacation and enjoy at the beach, in the hammock, or wherever you prefer to read.
When I recommend books, I’m just as likely to recommend books I read years ago as the most recent ones I’ve devoured. Don’t you just love when a book becomes a good friend that you revisit time after time?
