Summer’s here, and is there any other season more perfect for reading? Well, except for the other three, of course. Here are some books you can take with you on vacation and enjoy at the beach, in the hammock, or wherever you prefer to read.
It’s not as out of place calendar-wise as the title and the cover suggests. If you, like me at the time I read this, haven’t read much historical fiction set in Scotland, this is a perfect introduction. And you’ll be hooked immediately, I guarantee it.
Full disclosure. When I first started reading this, I didn’t know what to think. I couldn’t quite figure out of the author was serious or not. But it ended up being one of the funniest books I’ve read in a really long time, and I’m definitely a fan. I’ll be checking out the rest of the series (anyone seeing a pattern here?) as soon as possible. Do yourself and pick this up.
It’s been a few years since I read this, but since it’s stayed fresh in my mind after reading hundreds of other books since, it’s gotta mean something. I love Cari Quinn. Like seriously love her. And this was the first of her books I ever read. Sizzling hot. Scorching. Have a cold drink handy when you read it.
