Welcome to Morello Cove, a small coastal town tugged into Monterey Bay, California. It’s a charming spot, and if you ever find yourself passing through, be sure to stop. Parking’s free on the central boardwalk sitting across from the picturesque pier jutting out and just begging for you to take a walk on it. Buy a cold refreshment or an ice cream cone at Dot Maguire’s at the end of the boardwalk, and don’t cheat yourself out of an extraordinary sunset walk on the pier. I might see you there.

You might also want to take a walk on the beach, go for a swim, or simply enjoy the sun on the beautiful beaches. Or, if you’re more in the mood to explore the town, start on the boardwalk. There’s an abundance of cafés, restaurants, and bars, so whatever you’re in the mood for, you’ll find it there. There are also shops sure to suit anyone’s taste. You’ll find everything from souvenirs to high scale taylor-made dresses. In fact…be sure to check out Annata, the vintage dress and jewelry store right in the middle of the boardwalk. It’s right across from the pier, so you can’t miss it.

I promise you that you won’t regret stopping at Morello Cove on your way up or down the coast. The residents are friendly, and although it may just look like a sleepy coastal town at  the first glance, there’s enough happening beneath the surface to keep you entertained for a while. So book into the hotel – they’ve got rooms with excellent view of the ocean – and stay for a while.
